KnownOrigin x Digital Natives

October started with a bang at KnownOrigin’s Digital Natives event. The day-long affair which included educational talks by creatives of the crypto and NFT scene, culminated in what everybody’s now calling, a ‘futuristic’ soiree that has elevated cryptoart to the top of the social scene.

Digital Natives was more than just an event, and definitely more than just another art party: it was a bold statement. A platform that was born from the imagination of three visionaries (aka, David Moore, Andy Gray, and James Morgan) exponentially grew throughout the past three years, and even more so, during 2021.

KnownOrigin quickly became a premium platform that is propelled by the loving community of artists, collectors, art enthusiasts and creators who are appreciative of the personal relationship that they can develop with everyone who works at KO. It is no secret that whenever there has been an event by KnownOrigin (hello Rotate London!) attendees feel safe, engaged and amused by the friendly vibe that characterizes these events.

As conversations about NFTs quickly disseminate across all media outlets, with Digital Natives, we decided to take our community into the future of this promising space.

Wonder what it was all about? Here’s what happened:

The day began with a series of talks at the Manchester Technology Centre, where Charli Cohen took us through her brand’s new partnership with Pokemon and Selfridges with Electric City, a new immersive experience where digital fashion enhances customers’ shopping adventures.

Editor of CYBR magazine, James Joseph, spoke about the promising future ahead of us, thanks to the advances in technology and the promising potential of metaverses.

Achilleas Sarantaris introduced cryptoart platform Async Art and its new music proposition, which will change the way in how we consume entertainment.

Our very own Edward Cawley gave attendees an intro to KnownOrigin and what we do as a platform while co-founder James Morgan spoke about royalties for creatives on the blockchain and cryptoart scene.

Closing the series of talks, Holly Atkinson introduced us to Boson Protocol and how their ventures are transforming the commerce infrastructure for Web3.

Uniting artists, tech entrepreneurs and collectors, Digital Natives continued with an exhibition party at the prominent No. 1 Circle Square, the newest property development by Bruntwood group, which is home to a unique community of innovators.

The exhibition featured cryptoart NFTs by XCOPY, Vector Meldrew, Brendan Dawes, KidEight among other creative powerhouses, such as Miss Al Simpson.

This exhibition was achieved to a high standard thanks to our friends from Sterling Event Group who worked very hard at making my vision for this event come true by getting the appropriate screens and light installations that turned Digital Natives into the capsule to the future that it was.

Our friends from Robert & Victor provided our attendees with a series of canapes, from vegan chorizo to chicken liver pate… there was even time for some delicacies with their tasteful macarons for dessert.

The exhibition turned into a party with Hey Dan’s incredible music set, and the big surprise of the night was “Everything That Happens From Now”, a live performance by artist Jake-Andrew, where he responded to the sounds and energy of the event by placing everything he felt on a canvas. This was minted and sold on the same night, as a unique and historical piece for both the artist and KnownOrigin.

Of course, what's a party without the booze? Our friends from Boson Protocol were kind enough to sponsor the drinks for the bar provided by Jonny Cocktail. Among excellent vibes, great art, food and drinks, we all had an incredible night which was made possible thanks to our main sponsor Wert, as well as Async Art, Sequence, Recall, Bermans and North Coders.
