What got you in to Crypto art?

Tweets from Metageist, Rosie Summers and a few others, leading me to applying to KO, Superrare and Async.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Currently - pixel art, computer games, expressionist paintings, and a heavy dose of nostalgia.

What do you think of traditional artwork?

I'm a fan of sculpture and pottery, and anything that's difficult to reproduce. I feel a significant amount of effort has gone into making digital tools analogous to physical media - and this must be for a reason!

Do you think your art is fulfilling a purpose?

As a mediative act, yes! If it looks nice to at least one other viewer, it's done it's part.

How did you start out as an artist?

Drawing from an early age helped! Worked as an animator and designer for a number of years before deciding to focus on personal work a bit more.

Who or what inspires your work?

Paul Klee, Piet Mondrian, Bridget Riley - abstract(ish) artists with a focus on colour and line over form. And artists like Michael Firman who favour visible brushstrokes.

Which other artist(s) do you admire?

Angie Taylor, abysms, okytomo, kazwes, JamFactory, and plenty more - especially on KO!

Final question, what’s next for you as an artist?

Using my abilities as animator to add an extra layer to my paintings, as well as sound. I'm also working more on programmable artwork, and improving 3D skills for voxel art and low poly work
